Particularly true, we believe, if you happen to live in Brazil or Latin America or are willing to relocate there. Now that might sound like a backhanded comment but that really depends on how you look at ContinentalRomance. In some ways it could be seen as restrictive  as the site predominantly seems to exist for men looking for Brazilian or Latin American women. However, if this IS what you're looking for, you may have come to the right place. It's also important to remember that ContinentalRomance is not exclusively for these small groups and does offer a service which will cater for people with a more diverse range of preferences.

It has to be said that in terms of 'beautiful people', ContinentalRomance doesn't go too wrong. The members appear attractive and friendly on their profiles especially if you have a preference for dark hair, dark eyes and a sultry glance. Further enhancing the notion that Brazil and Latin America are paramount to ContinentalRomance are the language options for viewing the site, which are English, Spanish, French and Portuguese. This site, then, might also be a good opportunity for linguistic and cultural exchange!

There are a few important reasons why ContinentalRomance doesn't rate so highly on our top ten of interracial dating websites. Firstly the search features let the site down quite a lot. Where other sites have a variety of searches and search options the only one of great use to ContinentalRomance is the quick search, which is a little too brief and may leave you trawling through hundreds of profiles at once. We also had some difficulty in finding matches 'locally', with only one member appearing on our UK search.

We had a lot of trouble trying to find out how to upgrade our membership to paid membership. More of a technical annoyance than a major problem, you have to sign up for free membership and then find a link on your profile page to upgrade your membership. Also the upgrade itself didn't seem to offer that many benefits. So far as we could tell it simply allowed you to email all members, including non-paying members, as much as you like. This is an important addition but not really that impressive when you compare it with other sites out there which offer more options for your money.

Another issue with ContinentalRomance is that it seems to lack a 'community' feel. There are no blogs or forums, no public chats or messaging. As a user you are somewhat isolated from other members unless you prefer to just chat one-on-one. This loneliness is also a little apparent in the FAQ section, which doesn't really exist. If you have any issues you can contact the staff directly but it does, at times, feel like you're a small ship on a large ocean off Brazil.
