What really stands out about WhiteWomenBlackMen is their dedication to promoting interracial relationships. There still exists stigma in the world, and they're encouraging members and visitors to explore the historic and current problems that interracial couples experience, as well as seeing the positive stories and relationships that have flowered. You will also notice that the site has plenty of forum chats and members posting messages, some well into the thousands of messages and threads. This is great to see! However, when it comes to offering a wide range of members with accessible photos and information to get dating, it falls sadly short of the standards we hope to see.

The problem with White Women Black Men is that it has focused a lot on its community elements but left its dating features undeveloped so they feel very much an aside. If you click on the members section you are presented with a long and disorganised list of members (we couldn't fathom the order of them either). There are no photos, no details to view initially, just a list of names and their “reputation” (one, two or three green blobs). Even clicking on the profiles doesn't amount to much as you can view “about me”, “statistics” or “contact info”, yet we found a number of the most popular profiles didn't have much or any information on them. Alternatively you can visit the "personals" section, essentially a list of profiles which have been designed to advertise individuals looking for dates. This is better organised and includes a search function but neither is well designed. If you are interested then you can also upload photos, and paying members are able to access adult content. 

We were a little more encouraged by the fact that members can freely provide their contact details, meaning that even non-paying members can receive messages through their personal email address. You can also visit the “calendar” section, which tells you when members' birthdays are. However we expected to find meet-ups and web chats in this section, real experiences that were set to run on specific days. It felt a little like White Women Black Men had been abandoned in this respect. We get the impression that this site is really for people to join and get chatting on the forums. As such it can feel more like a social gathering than a dating website. This isn't necessarily bad as everyone there is (we assume) a white woman or a black man looking for love. However, the site hasn't been designed in the most user-friendly fashion and so contacting people based on a mutual attraction is difficult. 

Essentially WWBM is severely flawed as a dating site, but if you're interested in learning about the community and getting to know people based on their activity in forum chats then this could be worth investigating. Sadly we don't feel it's worth the cost of membership, unless you're particularly interested in the adult content.
