AfroRomance is part of the InterracialDating.com network, offering a very similar selection and quality of service. As such you'll have access to its other key sites in this network at no extra fee, adding some real value for money. There were thousands of members online when we logged on, making it a great place to meet singles of different ethnic backgrounds from around the world. It offers a free subscription, which is very limited, or an upgrade to a VIP package which allows you full and unlimited access to its services.

Paying members can chat to other users through an email system (allowing a slower and more considered pace for communicating), an instant messenger service for real time text chat, or talk face to face using their webcams.  There are several options to create and join private rooms on Afro Romance, making it a good place for intimate liaisons, or you can get talking in a more public space. It's easy to see who is online through a search, or simply by browsing through the online members. Even at strange times of the day or night you'll be likely to find someone who is online and raring to chat.

Searching for members is simple but if you're looking for someone with a very particular trait or interest then it could be a little limited for you. All of the options available are useful for most circumstances, though, and results are displayed in a gallery which provides a few basic details about each member, such as their age and location. We did sometimes find that results didn't always match the features we requested, but assume this is because the profile information was filled out incorrectly. A lot of the profiles have been completed, although you will find that quite a few of them haven't been accessed for some time. Although this could be a drawback the site does tell you when members were online, so it's considerate enough to not make you waste your efforts on people who haven't logged in for years.

Customer support can be contacted using a live chat, email, phone or even by post. There's also a blog of dating advice and articles if you're interested in that kind of thing. You may find, however, that there's not a great community feel on this site, although there are tools to allow you to talk with a wide range of people if you feel like it. The free service is very limited and you really need to upgrade in order to get the most from Afro Romance. Upgrading allows you to send and receive an unlimited number of messages, although free members might not be able to reply without first upgrading too. Subsequently we'd recommend taking a good look around the website to discern whether or not you like enough members who are likely to be able (and willing) to chat. Prices are very reasonable, particularly for the longer contracts, although the month long memberships will cost you considerably more.

AfroRomance.com has enough options and features to satisfy most members, but if you're looking for someone very particular then you may wish to check out a website with a superior search function. Otherwise, why not build a profile and take a look around? Afro combs are not a necessity.
