I was a member (both free & paying) of IRS.net starting back in late 2006, and through most of 2007. As a Black man seeking dates with White women my choices were rather limited with the other dating sites that were popular at that time, (Yahoo Personals; Match.com, etc) because most of the Caucasian women on those sites had their "Perfect Match" filters set for White men only. But at IRS I found a place brimming with LOTS of fun, funny, outgoing, hard-working women who were open to dating interracially. I met with a few, went on a few dates, and even found myself romantically involved with two different women at different times.
However, in October of 2007 I met a woman on another site, decided to focus exclusively on that new relationship and deleted my IRS profile. More than 4 years later she and I broke up, so I dusted off my old profile and rejoined IRS.net.
Wow! What a difference a few years makes. The old IRS I knew, full of life and people, is as happening as a graveyard now! Where once there were hundreds of women on the site, now there are apparently only SEVEN White female members in the ENTIRE STATE OF OHIO!
Don't bother, since as a free member you're SEVERELY limited in what you can do on the site:
Want to send a message? Gotta pay!
Want to READ a message? Gotta pay!
Want to chat? Gotta pay!
Want to post in the forums? Gotta pay!
But if you DO pay there are no other members to pick from.
Back in 2007 I certainly recommended IRS.net to a few friends I knew were seeking interracial dating options, but I wouldn't suggest it to my worst enemy today.
In the immortal words of Star Trek's Dr. "Bones" McCoy: "He's dead, Jim!"
-Slaughter
In summary, I would not recommend Interracial Singles to a friend.
